On Transcending Fear

“Because I teach seminars on facing fear, I naturally have thought a lot about how we as humans transcend fear. The conclusion I came to was that we can’t completely eliminate fear for we can never know everything. So the name of the game is to transmute fear from a paralyzing force into a motivating force rather than wasting time trying to suppress it or transcend it. A small percentage of your fears are real and should be respected. They are valuable. They keep you safe and motivate you into action. But the vast majority of your fears are just negative dialogue that dribbles from the mind. The way to work with that is to begin to talk to the fear as if it were another person. So you say, ‘Thank you, I appreciate that possibility you have just offered me. However, given the current circumstances of my life, I do not accept that negative possibility as a reality in my life. Further, the idea of my being eaten by a wild animal here at the bus station is a little remote. But thank you anyway and ciao, baby.’”

Stuart Wilde, “The Secretes of Life”

An Uncommon Dialogue, Book 3 by Neale Donald Walsch

  • You must learn to be gentle with yourself. And stop judging yourself.
  • It is not necessary to have achieved the highest level of evolution to speak of the highest level of evolution.
  • You will not grow through guilt, but only shrivel and die.
Awareness is what you seek. But awareness is not guilt, and love is not fear.
  • “All good things come to those who wait.”
  • First you “be” the thing called “happy” (or “knowing,” or “wise,” or “compassionate,” or whatever); then you start “doing” things from this place of being-ness-and soon you discover that what you are doing winds up bringing you the things you’ve always wanted to “have.”
The way to set this creative process (and that’s what this is. . . the process of creation) into motion is to look at what it is you want to “have,” ask yourself what you think you would “be” if you “had” that, then go right straight to being.
  • Happiness is a state of mind. And like all states of mind, it reproduces itself in physical form.
  • “Fake it until you make it.”
    …Only you can’t really be
“faking.” Your actions have to be sincere.
Everything you do, do out of sincerity, or the benefitof the action is lost.
This is not because I won’t “reward you.” God does not “reward” and “punish,” as you know. But Natural Law requires the body, mind, and spirit to be united in thought, word, and action for the process of creation to work.
You cannot fool your mind. If you are insincere, your mind knows it, and that’s that. You’ve just ended any chance that your mind can help you in the creative process.
You can, of course, create without your mind-it’s just a great deal more difficult. You can ask your body to do something your mind doesn’t believe, and if your body does it long enough, your mind will begin to let go of its former thought about that, and create a New Thought. Once you have a New Thought about a thing, you’re well on your way to creating it as a permanent aspect of your being, rather than something you’re just acting out.
This is doing things the hard way, and even in such instances, the action must be sincere. Unlike what you can do with people, you cannot manipulate the universe.
So here we have a very delicate balance. The body does something in which the mind does not believe, yet the mind must add the ingredient of sincerity to the body’s action for it to work.
  • If you choose to be prosperous, cause another to prosper.
  • So when you want something, give it away. You will then no longer be “wanting” it. You will immediately experience “having” it. From there on, it is only a question of degree. Psychologically, you will find it much easier to “add onto,” than to create out of thin air.
  • I never, ever interfere with your deepest desire.
  • When your choices conflict-when body, mind, and spirit are not acting as one-the process of creation works at all levels, producing mixed results. If, on the other hand, your being is in harmony, and your choices are unified, astonishing things can occur.
Your young people have a phrase-“having it all together”-which could be used to describe this unified state of being.
There are also levels within levels in your decision making. This is particularly true at the level of the mind.
Your mind can, and does, make decisions and choices from one of at least three interior levels: logic, intuition, emotion-and sometimes from all three- producing the potential for even more inner conflict.
And within one of those levels-emotion-there are five more levels. These are the five natural emotions: grief, anger, envy, fear, and love.
And within these, also, there are two final levels: love and fear.
The five natural emotions include love and fear, yet love and fear are the basis of all emotions. The other three of the five natural emotions are outgrowths of these two.
Ultimately, all thoughts are sponsored by love or fear. This is the great polarity. This is the primal duality. Everything, ultimately, breaks down to one of these. All thoughts, ideas, concepts, understandings, decisions, choices, and actions are based in one of these.
And, in the end, there is really only one.
    Love.
In truth, love is all there is. Even fear is an outgrowth of love, and when used effectively, expresses love.
  • Grief is a natural emotion.
Grief that is continually repressed becomes chronic depression, a very unnatural emotion.
    Anger is a natural emotion.
Anger that is continually repressed becomes rage, a very unnatural emotion.
    Envy is a natural emotion.
Envy that is continually repressed becomes jealousy, a very unnatural emotion.
Fear is a natural emotion…The purpose of natural fear is to build in a bit of caution. Caution is a tool that helps keep the body alive. It is an outgrowth of love. Love of Self.
Children who are made to feel that fear is not okay-that it is wrong to express it, and, in fact, that they shouldn’t even experience it-will have a difficult time appropriately dealing with their fear as adults.
Fear that is continually repressed becomes panic, a very unnatural emotion.
    Love is a natural emotion.
Love that is continually repressed becomes possessiveness, a very unnatural emotion.
  • Newly departed souls therefore learn to monitor their thoughts very carefully, because whatever they think of, they experience…
If physicalized souls learned to control their thoughts as quickly and as efficiently as spiritualized souls, their whole lives would change.
In the creation of individual reality, thought control, or what some might call prayer-is everything.
  • Thought control is the highest form of prayer. Therefore, think only on good things, and righteous. Dwell not in negativity and darkness. And even in moments when things look bleak-especially in those moments-see only perfection, express only gratefulness, and then imagine only what manifestation of perfection you choose next.
In this formula is found tranquillity. In this process is found peace. In this awareness is found joy.
  • Souls released from the body quickly remember to monitor and control their thoughts very carefully, for whatever they think of, that is what they create and experience…you are at cause in the creation of your experience, not at the effect of it.
  • To the degree that your uncontrolled thoughts are stronger than the collective consciousness, to that degree you will experience them as reality. To the degree that the collective consciousness is accepted, absorbed, and internalized, to that degree you will experience it as your reality…
    1. You may allow your uncontrolled thoughts to create The Moment.
    2. You may allow your creative consciousness to create The Moment.
    3. You may allow the collective consciousness to create The Moment.

…It is when you are surrounded by lower consciousness that you will benefit more from remaining with your individual understandings, and when you are surrounded by higher consciousness that you receive greater benefit from surrender.
…I cannot overemphasize the importance of the company you keep.
In what you call the afterlife, there is nothing to worry about on this score, for you will instantly and automatically be surrounded by beings of high consciousness-and by high consciousness itself.

  • Be open, therefore. Be OPEN. Don’t close off the possibility of new truth because you have been comfortable with an old one. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
Yet be not quick to judge another. Rather, seek to avoid judgment, for another person’s “wrongs” were your “rights” of yestermorn; another person’s mistakes are your own past actions, now corrected; another person’s choices and decisions are as “hurtful” and “harmful,” as “selfish” and “unforgivable,” as many of your own have been.
It is when you “just can’t imagine” how another person could “do such a thing” that you have forgotten where you came from, and where both you and the other person are going.
  • Nothing in this universe occurs by accident. There is no such thing as an “accident,” nor is there any such thing as “coincidence.”
  • Finally, don’t try to “get out” of anything. What you resist, persists.
    1. All thought is energy.
    2. All things are in motion.
    3. All time is now.

Asking the question engages the mind, and that’s the last thing a psychic wants to do. Intuition does not reside in the mind. To be psychic, you’ve got to be out of your mind. Because intuition resides in the psyche. In the soul.
Every feeling you’ve ever had resides in your soul. Your soul is the sum total of all your feelings. It is the repository.

  • Whatever you cause another to experience, you will one day experience.
  • What you fear, you create. Yet there is really nothing to be afraid of.
  • There are no coincidences in the universe.
  • You may return to mortal form-that is, a physical form which can “die”-whenever and however you wish.
  • “Right” and “wrong” are philosophical polarities in a human value system which have nothing to do with ultimate reality-a point Which I have made repeatedly throughout this dialogue. They are, furthermore, not even constant constructs within your own system, but rather, values which keen shifting from time to time…
Glorify what you are today, yet do not condemn what you were yesterday, nor preclude what you could become tomorrow.
Understand that “right” and “wrong” are figments of your imagination, and that “okay” and “not okay” are merely announcements of your latest preferences and imaginings.
  • Enlightenment begins with acceptance, without judgment of “what is.”
This is known as moving into the Isness. It is in the Isness where freedom will be found.
What you resist, persists. What you look at disappears. That is, it ceases to have its illusory form. You see it for what it Is. And what Is can always be changed. It is only what Is Not that cannot be changed. Therefore, to change the Isness, move into it. Do not resist it. Do not deny it.
What you deny you declare. What you declare you create.
Denial of something is re-creation of it, for the very act of denying something places it there.
Acceptance of something places you in control of it. That which you deny you cannot control, for you have said it is not there. Therefore what you deny controls you.
  • The person of great wisdom needs little sleep.
  • Daily meditation is one of the best tools with which to create this experience. With it, you can raise your life energy to the highest chakra . . . . . and even leave your body while you are “awake.”
  • Breathe long and deep. Breathe slowly and gently. Breathe in the soft, sweet nothingness of life, so full of energy, so full of love.
  • The realm of the relative is, in fact, held together by just such tensions. As an example, the tension between good and evil. In ultimate reality there is no such thing as good and evil. In the realm of the absolute, all there is is love. Yet in the realm of the relative you have created the experience of what you “call” evil, and you have done it for a very sound reason. You wanted to experience love, not just “know” that love is All There Is, and you cannot experience something when there is nothing else but that. And so, you created in your reality (and continue to do so every day) a polarity of good and evil, thus using one so that you might experience the other.
And here we have a Divine Dichotomy-two seemingly contradictory truths existing simultaneously in the same place. Specifically:
There is such a thing as good and evil.
    All there is is love.
  • Your life was never meant to be a struggle, and doesn’t have to be, now or ever.
  • So there is no need to worry about what you are going to “get back.” There is only a need to worry about what you are going to “give out.” Life is about creating the highest quality giving, not the highest quality getting.
…life is not “for getting.” Life is “for giving,” and in order to do that, you need to be forgiving to others-especially those who did not give you what you thought you were going to get!
  • A HEB, in fact, would never consume an animal, much less fill the ground, and the plants which the animal eats, with chemicals, then fill the animal itself with chemicals, and then consume it.
  • A HEB never worries-and wouldn’t even understand the human concept of “worry” or “stress.” Neither would a HEB “hate,” or feel “rage,” or “jealousy,” or panic. Therefore, the HEB does not produce biochemical reactions within her own body that eat away at it and destroy it. A HEB would call this “eating itself,” and a HEB would no sooner consume itself than it would consume another corporal being.
  • There is no shame.
  • Nor any such thing as guilt.
  • “Good” does not-cannot–exist experientially without its opposite. Therefore have you also created evil, which is the backward motion, or opposite direction, of good. It is the opposite of life-and so have you created what you call death.
  • Your brain is not the source of your intelligence. It is simply a data processor. It takes in data through receptors called your senses. It interprets this energy in formation according to its previous data on the subject. It tells you what it perceives, not what really is. Based on these perceptions, you think you know the truth about something, when, actually, you do not know the half of it. In reality, you are creating the truth that you know.
  • There was no one to forgive. All I have created is Perfection and Love.
  • You are deciding what is “cold” and what is “warm,” what is “up” and what is “down.” (Get out in space and watch your definitions disappear!) You are deciding what is “good” and what is “evil.” And your ideas about all these things have changed through the years-indeed, even through the seasons. On a summer day you would call 420F “cold.” In the middle of winter, however, you would say, “Boy, what a warm day!” …
It is not necessary for an opposite condition to exist right next to you in order to provide a contextual field within which the reality that you choose may be experienced.
The distance between contrasts is irrelevant. The entire universe provides the contextual field within which all contrasting elements exist, and all experiences are thus made possible. That is the purpose of the universe. That is its function.
  • what you are doing now is simply remembering everything you are, and choosing the portion of that which you prefer to experience in this moment, in this lifetime, on this planet, in this physical form.
  • You do have to live within a contextual field within which That Which You Are Not exists, in order for you to experience That Which You Are. This is the Universal Law, and you cannot avoid it. Yet you are living in such a field, right now. You do not have to create one. The contextual field in which you are living is called the universe.

An Uncommon Dialogue, Book 2 by Neale Donald Walsch

  1. For a number of reasons. Because you do not believe you can have what you choose. Because you do not know what to choose. Because you keep trying to figure out what’s “best” for you. Because you want guarantees ahead of time that all your choices will be “good.” And because you keep changing your mind!
  2. When you spend your time trying to figure out what’s “best” for you, you are doing just that: spending your time. Better to save your time than to spend it wastefully.
  3. Remember this: the soul creates, the mind reacts.
  4. Failure to express (i.e. push out) negative feelings does not make them go away; it keeps them in. Negativity “kept in” harms the body and burdens the soul.
    • Life is an ongoing process of creation.
    • A secret of all Masters is to stop changing one’s mind; keep choosing the same thing.
    • Don’t take no for an answer.
    • We “call forth” what we think, feel, and say.
    • Life can be a process of creation or reaction.
    • The soul creates, the mind reacts.
    • The soul understands what the mind cannot conceive.
    • Stop trying to figure out what is “best” for you (how you can win the most, lose the least, get what you want) and start going with what feels like Who You Are.
    • Your feelings are your truth. What is best for you is what is true for you.
    • Thoughts are not feelings; rather, they are ideas of how you “should” feel. When thoughts and feelings get confused, truth becomes clouded, lost.
    • To get back to your feelings, be out of your mind and get back to your senses.
    • Once you know your truth, live it.
    • Negative feelings are not true feelings at all; rather, they are your thoughts about something, based always on the previous experience of yourself and others.
    • Previous experience is no indicator of truth, since Pure Truth is created here and now, not reenacted.
    • To change your response to anything, be in the present (that is, the “pre-sent”) moment-the moment that was sent to you and was what it was before you had a thought about it… In other words, Be Here Now, not in the past or the future.
    • The past and the future can exist only in thought. The Pre-sent Moment is the Only Reality. Stay there!
    • Seek and you shall find.
    • Do whatever it takes to stay connected with God/Goddess/Truth. Don’t stop the practices, the prayers, the rituals, the meditations, the readings, the writings, the “whatever works” for you to stay in touch with All That Is.
  5. His actions were what you would call mistakes-the actions of an unevolved being-and mistakes are not punishable by condemnation, but dealt with by providing the chance for correction, for evolution.
  6. The concept of “Age” as it relates to souls really has to do with levels of awareness, not length of “time.”
  7. No one comes to you by accident.
There is no such thing as coincidence.
    Nothing occurs at random.
Life is not a product of chance.
  8. If you cannot find a group whose consciousness matches your own, be the source of one. Others of like consciousness will be drawn to you.
  9. The best way to change the consciousness of others is by your example.
If your example is not enough, form your own group-you be the source of the consciousness you wish others to experience. They will-when you do.
  10. For there is a little bit of Hitler in all of you-and it is only a matter of degree.
  11. It was the Buddha who said “Life is suffering.” The Buddha was right.
  12. Time is not a movement but a field through which you move-in this case on Spaceship Earth.
  13. And a way will be made known to you, because you have asked.
  14. Yet do not choose sex instead of love, but as a celebration of it. And do not choose power over, but power with. And do not choose fame as an end in itself, but as a means to a larger end. And do not choose success at the expense of others, but as a tool with which to assist others. And do not choose winning at any cost, but winning that costs others nothing, and even brings them gain as well.
  15. Go ahead and choose being better-but not better than others; rather, better than you were before.
Go ahead and choose having more, but only so that you have more to give.
  16. You see beauty where you desire to see it. You see ugliness where you are afraid to see beauty.
  17. I can only experience what I am by experiencing what I am not.
  18. If you love another, you will not do anything that you believe could or would hurt that person. If there is any question or doubt, you will wait until you can get to clarity on the matter.
  19. The sexually active are no less qualified for enlightenment, no less spiritually evolved, than the sexually inactive.
  20. …nothing is “evil” lest thinking make it so.
  21. No action which causes hurt to another leads to rapid evolution.
  22. No action involving another may be taken without the other’s agreement and permission.
  23. Enjoy everything.
    Need nothing.
  24. Needing someone is the fastest way to kill a relationship.
  25. Wisdom is knowledge applied.
  26. “Not needing” is a great freedom. It frees you, first, from fear: fear that there is something you won’t have; fear that there is something you have that you will lose; and fear that without a certain thing, you won’t be happy.
Secondly, “not needing” frees you from anger. Anger is fear announced. When you have nothing to fear, you have nothing over which to be angry.
You are not angry when you don’t get what you want, because your wanting it was simply a preference, not a necessity. You therefore have no fear associated with the possibility of not getting it. Hence, no anger.
You are not angry when you see others doing what you don’t want them to do, because you don’t need them to do or not do any particular thing. Hence, no anger.
You are not angry when someone is unkind, because you have no need for them to be kind. You have no anger when someone is unloving, because you have no need for them to love you. You have no anger when someone is cruel, or hurtful, or seeks to damage you, for you have no need for them to behave any other way, and you are clear that you cannot be damaged.
You do not even have anger should someone seek to take your life, because you do not fear death.
When fear is taken from you, all else can be taken from you and you will not be angry.
You know inwardly, intuitively, that everything you’ve created can be created again, or-more importantly-that it doesn’t matter.
When you find Inner Peace, neither the presence nor the absence of any person, place or thing, condition, circumstance, or situation can be the Creator of your state of mind or the cause of your experience of being.
This does not mean that you reject all things of the body. Far from it. You experience being fully in your body and the delights of that, as you never have before.
Yet your involvement with things of the body will be voluntary, not mandatory. You will experience bodily sensations because you choose to, not because your are required to in order to feel happy or to justify sadness.
This one simple change-seeking and finding peace within-could, were it undertaken by everyone, end all wars, eliminate conflict, prevent injustice, and bring the world to everlasting peace.
There is no other formula necessary, or possible. World peace is a personal thing!
What is needed is not a change of circumstance, but a change of consciousness.
  27. There is perfection in everything. Strive to see the perfection. This is the change of consciousness of which I speak.
Need nothing. Desire everything. Choose what shows up.
Feel your feelings. Cry your cries. Laugh your laughs. Honor your truth. Yet when all the emotion is done, be still and know that I am God.
  28. When in doubt, always err on the side of compassion.
  29. No one does anything evil, given his model of the world.
Put another way, all are doing the best they can at any given moment.
All actions of everyone depend on the data at hand.
  30. Embrace every circumstance, own every fault, share every joy, contemplate every mystery, walk in every man’s shoes, forgive every offense (including your own), heal every heart, honor every person’s truth, adore every person’s God, protect every person’s rights, preserve every person’s dignity, promote every person’s interests, provide every person’s needs, presume every person’s holiness, present every person’s greatest gifts, produce every person’s blessing, and pronounce every person’s future secure in the assured love of God.
  31. Speak humbly of yourself, lest someone mistake your Highest Truth for a boast.
  32. Speak respectfully, that no one be dishonored.
  33. When someone enters your life unexpectedly, look for the gift that person has come to receive from you.
  34. Envy is a natural emotion urging you to strive to be more…It is a motivator. It is pure desire. It gives birth to greatness.
jealousy, on the other hand, is a fear-driven emotion making one willing for the other to have less. It is an emotion often based in bitterness. It proceeds from anger and leads to anger.
  35. Truth and God are found in the same place: in the silence.
When you have found God, and when you have found truth, it is not necessary to talk about it. It is self-evident.
If you are talking a lot about God, it is probably because you are still searching.
  36. Wisdom which comes from within is not nearly so easily discarded as wisdom which comes from another. You tend to hang on a lot longer to that which you’ve created than to that which you’ve been told.
  37. …what you think is what you get.
What you fear is what you will draw to you.
    What you resist, persists.
What you look at disappears-giving you a chance to recreate it all over again, if you wish, or banish it forever from your experience.
    What you choose, you experience.

An Uncommon Dialogue, Book 1 by Neale Donald Walsch

  • Nothing happens by chance.
  • You don’t have to take No for an answer,
  • My most common form of communication is through feeling. Feeling is the language of the soul.
  • I also communicate with thought. Thought and feelings are not the same, although they can occur at the same time. In communicating with thought, I often use images and pictures. For this reason, thoughts are more effective than mere words as tools of communication.
  • Words are really the least effective communicator.
  • The Highest Thought is always that thought which contains joy. The Clearest Words are those words which contain truth. The Grandest Feeling is that feeling which you call love.
  • Words are the least reliable purveyor of Truth.
  • Such a statement produces the experience. For your thought about something is creative, and your word is productive, and your thought and your word together are magnificently effective in giving birth to your reality.
  • You will not have that for which you ask, nor can you have anything you want. This is because your very request is a statement of lack, and your saying you want a thing only works to produce that precise experience-wanting-in your reality.
The correct prayer is therefore never a prayer of supplication, but a prayer of gratitude.
When you thank God in advance for that which you choose to experience in your reality, you, in effect, acknowledge that it is there… in effect. Thankfulness is thus the most powerful statement to God; an affirmation that even before you ask, I have answered.
    Therefore never supplicate. Appreciate.
  • If, therefore, you beg and supplicate, there seems a much smaller chance that you will experience what you think you are choosing, because the Sponsoring Thought behind every supplication is that you do not have now what you wish. That Sponsoring Thought becomes your reality.
The only Sponsoring Thought which could override this thought is the thought held in faith that God will grant whatever is asked, without fail. Some people have such faith, but very few.
The process of prayer becomes much easier when, rather than having to believe that God will always say “yes” to every request, one understands intuitively that the request itself is not necessary. Then the prayer is a prayer of thanksgiving. It is not a request at all, but a statement of gratitude for what is so.
  • It is this doubt about ultimate outcome that has created your greatest enemy, which is fear. For if you doubt outcome, then you must doubt Creator-you must doubt God. And if you doubt God, you must live in fear and guilt all your life.
If you doubt God’s intentions-and God’s ability to produce this ultimate result-then how can you ever relax? How can you ever truly find peace?
  • Every human thought, and every human action, is based in either love or fear. There is no other human motivation, and all other ideas are but derivatives of these two. They are simply different versions-different twists on the same theme.
  • Fear is the energy which contracts, closes down, draws in, runs, hides, hoards, harms.
Love is the energy which expands, opens up, sends out, stays, reveals, shares, heals.
Fear wraps our bodies in clothing, love allows us to stand naked. Fear clings to and clutches all that we have, love gives all that we have away. Fear holds close, love holds dear. Fear grasps, love lets go. Fear rankles, love soothes. Fear attacks, love amends.
  • You have been taught to live in fear.
  • Judge not, then, the karmic path walked by another. Envy not success, nor pity failure, for you know not what is success or failure in the soul’s reckoning.
  • So long as you entertain the notion that there is something or someone else out there “doing it” to you, you disempower yourself to do anything about it. Only when you say “I did this” can you find the power to change it.
  • The first step in changing anything is to know and accept that you have chosen it to be what it is. If you can’t accept this on a personal level, agree to it through your understanding that We are all One. Seek then to create change not because a thing is wrong, but because it no longer makes an accurate statement of Who You Are.
  • In the largest sense, all the “bad” things that happen are of your choosing. The mistake is not in choosing them, but in calling them bad. For in calling them bad, you call your Self bad, since you created them.
  • The world’s natural calamities and disasters-its tornados and hurricanes, volcanoes and floods-its physical turmoils-are not created by you specifically. What is created by you is the degree to which these events touch your life.
  • Pain results from a judgment you have made about a thing. Remove the judgment and the pain disappears.
  • But judge not, and neither condemn, for you know not why a thing occurs, nor to what end.
And remember you this: that which you condemn will condemn you, and that which you judge, you will one day become.
Rather, seek to change those things-or support others who are changing those things-which no longer reflect your highest sense of Who You Are.
Yet, bless all-for all is the creation of God, through life living, and that is the highest creation.
  • Therefore bless every person and condition, and give thanks. Thus you affirm the perfection of God’s creation-and show your faith in it. For nothing happens by accident in God’s world, and there is no such thing as coincidence.
  • There is perfection in the process-and all life arises out of choice. It is not appropriate to interfere with choice, nor to question it. It is particularly inappropriate to condemn it.
  • What is appropriate is to observe it, and then to do whatever might be done to assist the soul in seeking and making a higher choice. Be watchful, therefore, of the choices of others, but not judgmental. Know that their choice is perfect for them in this moment now-yet stand ready to assist them should the moment come when they seek a newer choice, a different choice-a higher choice.
  • Allow each soul to walk its path.
  • There is no coincidence, and nothing happens “by accident.”
  • The First Law is that you can be, do, and have whatever you can imagine. The Second Law is that you attract what you fear.
  • Emotion is the power which attracts. That which you fear strongly, you will experience. An animal-which you consider a lower form of life (even though animals act with more integrity and greater consistency than humans)-knows immediately if you are afraid of it. Plants-which you consider an even lower form of life-respond to people who love them far better than to those who couldn’t care less.
  • Emotion is energy in motion. When you move energy, you create effect, If you move enough energy, you create matter. Matter is energy conglomerated. Moved around. Shoved together. If you manipulate energy long enough in a certain way, you get matter.
    1. Thought is creative.
    2. Fear attracts like energy.
    3. Love is all there is.
  • Thoughts rooted in love will produce another.
The Masters who have walked the planet are those who have discovered the secret of the relative world-and refused to acknowledge its reality. In short, Masters are those who have chosen only love. In every instance. In every moment. In every circumstance. Even as they were being killed, they loved their murderers. Even as they were being persecuted, they loved their oppressors.
  • There are no coincidences in the universe.
  • Your soul (subconscious, id, spirit, past, etc.) is the sum total of every feeling you’ve ever had (created). Your awareness of some of these is called your memory.
  • Words are more dynamic (thus, some might say more creative) than thought, because words are a different level of vibration from thought.
  • This will require tremendous mental and physical effort. It will entail constant, moment-to-moment monitoring of your every thought, word, and deed. It will involve continued choice-making-consciously.
  • So-do you want your life to “take off”? Begin at once to imagine it the way you want it to be-and move into that. Check every thought, word, and action that does not fall into harmony with that. Move away from those.
When you have a thought that is not in alignment with your higher vision, change to a new thought, then and there. When you say a thing that is out of alignment with your grandest idea, make a note not to say something like that again. When you do a thing that is misaligned with your best intention, decide to make that the last time. And make it right with whomever was involved if you can.
  • It’s your words about it-“l’m broke,” “I haven’t a dime,” “1 don’t have any money”-that dictates how long you stay broke. It’s your actions surrounding it-feeling sorry for yourself, sitting around despondent, not trying to find a way out because “What’s the use, anyway?”-that create your long-term reality.
The first thing to understand about the universe is that no condition is “good” or “bad.” It just is. So stop making value judgments.
The second thing to know is that all conditions are temporary. Nothing stays the same, nothing remains static. Which way a thing changes depends on you.
  • Here’s why that is so, and how that works.
    1. I have created you in the image and likeness of God.
    2. God is the creator.
    3. You are three beings in one. You can call these three aspects of being anything you want: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; mind, body, and spirit; superconscious, conscious, subconscious.
    4. Creation is a process that proceeds from these three parts of your body. Put another way, you create at three levels. The tools of creation are: thought, word, and deed.
    5. All creation begins with thought (“Proceeds from the Father”). All creation then moves to word (“Ask and you shall receive, speak and it shall be done unto you”). All creation is fulfilled in deed (“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us”).
    6. That which you think of, but thereafter never speak of, creates at one level. That which you think of and speak of creates at another level. That which you think, speak, and do becomes made manifest in your reality.
    7. To think, speak, and do something which you do not truly believe is impossible. Therefore, the process of creation must include belief, or knowing. This is absolute faith. This is beyond hoping. This is knowing of a certainty (“By your faith shall ye be healed”). Therefore, the doing part of creation always includes knowing. It is a gut-level clarity, a total certainty, a complete acceptance as reality of something.
    8. This place of knowing is a place of intense and incredible gratitude. It is a thankfulness in advance. And that, perhaps, is the biggest key to creation: to be grateful before, and for, the creation. Such taking for granted is not only condoned, but encouraged. It is the sure sign of mastery. All Masters know in advance that the deed has been done.
    9. Celebrate and enjoy all that you create, have created. To reject any part of it is to reject a part of yourself. Whatever it is that is now presenting itself as part of your creation, own it, claim it, bless it, be thankful for it. Seek not to condemn it (“God damn it! “), for to condemn it is to condemn yourself.
    10. If there is some aspect of creation you find you do not enjoy, bless it and simply change it. Choose again. Call forth a new reality. Think a new thought. Say a new word. Do a new thing. Do this magnificently and the rest of the world will follow you. Ask it to. Call for it to. Say, “I am the Life and the Way, follow me.”

This is how to manifest God’s will “on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

  • Throw all negative thoughts out of your mental constructions. Lose all pessimism. Release all doubts. Reject all fears. Discipline your mind to hold fast to the original creative thought.
When your thoughts are clear and steadfast, begin to speak them as truths. Say them out loud. Use the great command that calls forth creative power: I am. Make I-am statements to others. “I am” is the strongest creative statement in the universe. Whatever you think, whatever you say, after the words “I am” sets into motion those experiences, calls them forth, brings them to you.
  • The first step is learning to monitor your thoughts; to think about what you are thinking about.
When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts-thoughts that negate your highest idea about a thing-think again! I want you to do this, literally. If you think you are in a doldrum, in a pickle, and no good can come of this, think again. If you think the world is a bad place, filled with negative events, think again. If you think your life is falling apart, and it looks as if you’ll never get it back together again, think again.
You can train yourself to do this. (Look how well you’ve trained yourself not to do it!)
  • Enlightenment is understanding that there is nowhere to go, nothing to do, and nobody you have to be except exactly who you’re being right now.
  • You cannot resist something to which you grant no reality. The act of resisting a thing is the act of granting it life. When you resist an energy, you place it there. The more you resist, the more you make it real-whatever it is you are resisting.
What you open your eyes and look at disappears. That is, it ceases to hold its illusory form.
If you look at something-truly look at it-you will see right through it, and right through any illusion it holds for you, leaving nothing but ultimate reality in your sight. In the face of ultimate reality your puny illusion has no power. It cannot long hold you in its weakening grip. You see the truth of it, and the truth sets you free.
  • You should always want it to! There is nothing in your reality to hold onto. Yet if you do choose the illusion of your life over ultimate reality, you may simply recreate it-just as you created it to begin with. In this way you may have in your life what you choose to have and eliminate from your life what you no longer wish to experience.
Yet never resist anything. If you think that by your resistance you will eliminate it, think again. You only plant it more firmly in place. Have I not told you all thought is creative?
  • In truth, you cannot renounce anything-because what you resist persists. The true renunciate does not renounce, but simply chooses differently. This is an act of moving toward something, not away from something.
You cannot move away from something, because it will chase you all over hell and back. Therefore resist not temptation-but simply turn from it. Turn toward Me and away from anything unlike Me.
  • We make real that to which we pay attention.
  • There is nothing scary about life, if you are not attached to results.
  • Choose, but don’t want.
  • That is why Masters are imperturbable in the face of what others might call calamity. A Master blesses calamity, for the Master knows that from the seeds of disaster (and all experience) comes the growth of Self. And the Master’s second life purpose is alwaysgrowth. For once one has fully Self realized, there is nothing left to do except be more of that.
  • Never do anything in relationship out of a sense of obligation. Do whatever you do out of a sense of the glorious opportunity your relationship affords you to decide, and to be, Who You Really Are.
  • First comes thought; the formative idea; the initial concept. Then comes the word. Most thoughts ultimately form themselves into words, which are often then written or spoken. This gives added energy to the thought, pushing it out into the world, where it can be noticed by others.
Finally, in some cases words are put into action, and you have what you call a result; a physical world manifestation of what all started with a thought.
  • The most rapid way to change a root thought, or sponsoring idea, is to reverse the thought-word-deed process.
  • Do the deed that you want to have the new thought about. Then say the words that you want to have your new thought about. Do this often enough and you’ll train the mind to think a new way.
  • Yet your mind is filled with reactive thought- thought that springs from the experience of others. Very few of your thoughts spring from self-produced data, much less self-produced preferences.
  • When you want to change a root thought, act in accordance with the new idea you have. But you must act quickly, or your mind will kill the idea before you know it. I mean that literally. The idea, the new truth, will be dead in you before you’ve had a chance to know it.
  • Your mind is right now filled with old thoughts. Not only old thoughts, but mostly someone else’s old thoughts. It’s important now, it’s time now, to change your mind about some things. This is what evolution is all about.
  • Doing is a function of the body. Being is a function of the soul.
  • …instead of thinking “I want success,” think “I have success.”
  • Jesus had such clarity. Before every miracle, He thanked Me in advance for its deliverance. It never occurred to Him not to be grateful, because it never occurred to Him that what He declared would not happen. The thought never entered His mind.
  • Yet at your stage of development do not be surprised if “worldly success” no longer concerns you.
  • People smoke and wonder why they get cancer.
People ingest animals and fat and wonder why they get blocked arteries.
People stay angry all their lives and wonder why they get heart attacks.
People compete with other people-mercilessly and under incredible stress-and wonder why they have strokes.
The not-so-obvious truth is that most people worry themselves to death.
Worry is just about the worst form of mental activity there is-next to hate, which is deeply self destructive. Worry is pointless. It is wasted mental energy. It also creates bio-chemical reactions which harm the body, producing everything from indigestion to coronary arrest, and a multitude of things in between.
Health will improve almost at once when worrying ends.
Worry is the activity of a mind which does not understand its connection with Me.
Hatred is the most severely damaging mental condition. It poisons the body, and its effects are virtually irreversible.
Fear is the opposite of everything you are, and so has an effect of opposition to your mental and physical health. Fear is worry magnified.
Worry, hate, fear-together with their offshoots:
anxiety, bitterness, impatience, avarice, unkindness, judgmentalness, and condemnation-all attack the body at the cellular level. It is impossible to have a healthy body under these conditions.
Similarly-although to a somewhat lesser degree-conceit, self-indulgence, and greed lead to physical illness, or lack of well-being.
All illness is created first in the mind.
  • Nothing occurs in your life-nothing-which is not first a thought. Thoughts are like magnets, drawing effects to you. The thought may not always be obvious, and thus clearly causative, as in, “I’m going to contract a terrible disease.” The thought may be (and usually is) far more subtle than that. (“I am not worthy to live.”) (“My life is always a mess.”) (“I am a loser.”) (“God is going to punish me.”) (“1 am sick and tired of my life! “)
Thoughts are a very subtle, yet extremely powerful, form of energy. Words are less subtle, more dense. Actions are the most dense of all. Action is energy in heavy physical form, in heavy motion. When you think, say, and act out a negative concept such as “I am a loser,” you place tremendous creative energy into motion. Small wonder you come down with a cold. That would be the least of it.
It is very difficult to reverse the effects of negative thinking once they have taken physical form. Not impossible-but very difficult. It takes an act of extreme faith. It requires an extraordinary belief in the positive force of the universe-whether you call that God, Goddess, the Unmoved Mover, Prime Force, First Cause, or whatever.
  • You can “solve some of the health problems,” as you put it, by solving the problems in your thinking. Yes, you can heal some of the conditions you have already acquired (given yourself), as well as prevent major new problems from developing. And you can do this all by changing your thinking.
  • It means, My son, your body was designed to last forever.
  • The soul conceives, the mind creates, the body experiences.
  • That is why it is said, if you can cause your body to experience something (take abundance, for example), you will soon have the feeling of it in your soul, which will conceive of itself in a new way (namely, abundant), thus presenting your mind with a new thought about that. From the new thought springs more experience, and the body begins living a new reality as a permanent state of being.
  • I AM THAT I AM.
And YOU ARE THAT YOU ARE. You cannot not be. You can change form all you wish, but you cannot fail to be. Yet you can fail to know Who You Are-and in this failing, experience only the half of it.
  • If karma is the innate desire to be better, to be bigger, to evolve and to grow, and to look at past events and experiences as a measure of that, then, yes, karma does exist.

  • Some people can’t feel or begin to work with death urge until
    after their parents died.
  • Major steps: healing the death urge; healing birth trauma;
    getting handle on parental disapproval syndrome (parental conditioning);
healing religion trauma; healing school trauma
  • “I had depended upon death lifetime after lifetime to get
myself out of trouble. Death was my only trusted friend who always got me
out of trouble, and I gave up this old friend.”
  • How if you’re married to a deathist, then there comes a
point in your relationship when you have to choose, either you have to go
back into death again, or you have to choose to let the other person pass
    out of your life.

    foot
  • Philosophy of physical immortality
  • Metaphysics: meditating & mantra (OM NAMAHA SHIVAI)
  • Water purification: bathe twice a day

process.” – The Science of Aging and Youthing in “Physical Immortality,

  • “I laughed myself into a cure.”
  • If you want to be
immortal, you have to heal all of the terminal diseases that were given to
you by your family tradition, by your lifestyle, and by the karma of your
    soul.
Whatever’s given to you, you have to deal with that.
  • Balance: Participate in the world, and participate out of
    the world.
  • There are no accidents: It can be a manifestation of birth
    trauma. Cf. Japanese-American stockbroker
  • We live in a fail-safe universe, if we don’t make it in
one body, we get another one, another chance.
  • The goal of reincarnation is to master the body; the purpose
of reincarnation is just to get people another chance until they grow up
    spiritually and master the body
  • They behave like little children.
  • “He decided to make his body
    more important than the soul
. He discovered to his amazement when he took care of his body, he took care of
    his soul as well.

  • It takes a definite dedication. To evolve without dying takes
a real desire to change patterns.

Unraveling the Birth – Death Cycle by Leonard Orr

  • We can do absolutely anything, and the universe says yes.
  • The person has mastered the physical body, then they
function in the environment totally naturally.
  • Ecc 3:11 He has made everything appropriate in its time.
He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out
the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
  • If you believe death is beyond your control, somebody has
the power to destroy your physical body, something out there in the
Universe is out to kill you, it’s impossible to walk around in the
Universe if it’s out there to destroy your body without being nervous
about it; you are living in a hostile universe. Don’t be surprised if your
    family is hostile.

Universe, one of which you can’t get out of alive.” – Alan Harrington,

    Dying and Live Forever”

Alternatives to Physical Death

Astral World

  • Hell
  • Heaven: a symbolic description of the womb. Cf. Reincarnation:
another method to get back into the womb
  • Purgatory (Catholics): somewhere in-between

Trinity

  • Father: life itself spirit, being, energy, thinker
Son: His thoughts, the ability to think
    The Holy spirit
  • All things are placed into subjection to the Son
  • “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that
was made…” – John 1:1-14 (Word: a physical symbol for thought)
  • Father materializes the world. Then, he becomes the world.
The world is as eternal as father unless the Son (thought) destroys it.
  • God loves the world more than Christians
  • If you believe in the Son, you have the power over life
    & death
  • Everybody who dies, dies for the purpose of teaching you
how death works: everybody is putting their into the message, so you can
    get the message.
  • If you only have the father and son in your consciousness,
you can only have one reality at a time Cf. Chalk and board
  • Holy sprit (ghost): the ability to materialize stuff and
stay there: Comfort in the New Testament
  • As long as they can conceive of a smaller particle, especially
the thought is creative, you can create it, reason is into existence
  • Thought is the smallest particle in the Universe. Cf. The
Moody Blues’ the Best Way to Travel: “Speeding through the universe /
Thinking is the best way to travel”
  • The astral world is this world of materializing something
from pure concept, making it more and more complex, complicated until it
    becomes 3D

The Idea of the Astral World

  • The whole of reality is right where you are, and if you
don’t find it right where you are in your present physical body,
destroying your physical body won’t help you one bit, in fact it might
even make it more deceptive to find because you’ve obviously missed the
    whole point.
  • You’re already in the astral world, so physical death
won’t move you to a higher place.
  • The only thing that you’ll move you to a higher place is raising
    the quality of your thoughts

Traditional Alternatives

Annihilation

  • “Who ate Roger Williams?” Cf. Apple tree
  • Throw all of your ideas into you as an individual cease to
exist, have your mind dissolve because you as an individual is just a
combination of ideas and a combination of physical shapes that compose
    your individual existence.
  • Nirvana

Sleep

Reincarnation

  • You don’t have to go through physical death to reincarnate;
you can reincarnate by change the concepts that your physical body is
    embodying
  • The body that you come out with will be the same as that
    you have now anyway
  • The value of going through birth death cycle is highly
    overrated.

Resurrection

  • Embalming & six feet under

Possession

  • Seth material: a temporary possession

Rematerialize

Having Children

  • If youthing is inevitable, it would be as bad as aging. If
you believe aging is inevitable, believing that youthing is inevitable is just
    as bad.
  • People are loyal to the idea that death is inevitable.
  • Don’t try to prove people that they are wrong

Alternatives of the Cells

1.      Reproduced
exactly the same

2.      Reproduced
worse. Cf. Scar tissue (scab)

3.      Reproduced
better

4.      Not
reproduced. Cf. Losing weight

5.      New
cells produced. Cf. Gaining weight

  • Baby is however old the human race is because you have to
    add all those parent’s ages
  • All cells are created new every moment; every 11 month,
your body goes through a total transformation
  • Man’s face over 40 is his own fault: what his face looks
like depends on what he spends his evening thinking about
  • Life stream is constantly replenishing your cells with
life. Cf. A foot in a stream. Your body is constantly dematerializing and
    rematerializing
  • Aging is as wonderful as youthing
  • I am alive now. Therefore,
my life urges are stronger than my death urges. As long as I continue
strengthening my life urges, and weakening my death urges, I’ll go on
living and increasing health and youthfulness.
  • As long as you continue strengthening your life urges,
you’ll go on living; so long as you continue weakening your death urges,
they’ll never get strong enough to kill you

Loyalty to Death and How Death Works

  • Basically death works according to family tradition; if
you want to destroy your physical body, all you have to do is maintain the
    family tradition
  • Death urges are a real psychic entity (complex of ideas that
are emplaced in your feelings and your emotion), a whole structure of
thought. You have to break down, invert each idea about death into a new
    idea that contributes your aliveness.
  • Hopelessness, depression, fear, failure – miniature death
    experiences
  • “I’ll live forever, if it doesn’t get too bad.” – complete
    copout
  • The reason that life gets bad is that they are not giving
up their loyalty to death (death is inevitable)
  • You die, you get sick, you age; then, you create
symptoms in your physical body that make it socially acceptable for you to
    leave it. Cf. cancer
  • Unpardonable sin against the holy ghost: refusal to give
up the idea creating negative conditions; to affirm physical (material)
reality while professing you want to change it
  • Change your mind; change your body automatically: change
your weight, heal your teeth, and toenails
  • When you parents die, your death urge becomes active
  • When you get into enlightenment, you start practicing the
truth and self-improvement principles, then you create a safe environment
for your mind for the death urge come into surface
  • When you let go of death as well as birth trauma, the Universe
becomes a beautiful and safe place to be
  • “How To Put Death To Death”
  • Because you have conceptualized an idea, doesn’t mean that
    you mastered it.
  • Death is easy to control when you understand it

Three Generalization about Family Tradition

1.      If
you’re a rebel, you’ll outlive your parents; if you’re an extreme rebel, you’ll
kill yourself

2.      If
you’re a conformist, you’ll die before your parents do (They act out to save
their parents from death.)

Or

Die at the same
age their parent of the same sex die

3.      The more enlightened you are, the more active your
death urge becomes if you don’t question the idea death is inevitable. If you
have cast out every negative structure thought except your death urge, that’s
all you think about.

Natural tendency of your mind is to fill your consciousness with goodness; life
is natural, and death is unnatural.
The more enlightened you are, the more power you have. You put more power into
that idea, so it manifests more quickly. You’re using your enlightened power to
kill your physical body.

  • Life itself is eternal,
and I am life. Therefore, I am eternal. My mind is the thinking quality of
life itself, and the thinking quality of life itself is eternal.
Therefore, my mind is eternal. And, my body is the manifestation of
eternal substance. Therefore, my living flesh has a natural built-in
    tendency to live forever.
  • I have the right to keep
my physical body as long as the physical universe exists.
  • A rock has more intelligence than people.
  • Affirmation: Choosing your thoughts on purpose, so that they
contribute to your purposes in life
  • The entire universe
    exists for the purpose of supporting my physical body;
    so that my
body is a pleasurable place to be
  • Identity switch: transform your personal identity into
immortality identity. Cf. life insurance, cemetery plot
  • Look at your speech patterns. Cf. being dead right, scared
to death, laugh to death: catch yourself & weed those things
    out
  • You can bring up death urges on purpose, and destroy it in
the process of bring it up; you can also turn it off, shut it down, and
    save some for later.
  • Some of the times, you have to take a vacation from self-improvement
  • The mind automatically closes out all information that is
    in conflict with your premises
  • You have the eternal aliveness supporting you, the eternal
forces of the Universe behind you when you choose physical immortality
  • What about death of animals & plants? When you make
the total switch into an immortality identity, death becomes your servant.
Deathists kill each other; immortalists contribute to each other.
  • Death is just an opportunity to destroy forms.

Social Implication

How do you function practically in our culture
deathist-oriented after you’ve mastered the idea of physical immortality?

  • When you relate to people who have the death urge and
you’re free of it, then there is a point in your communication/relationship
where you hit the psychic wall, meets crisis. You either have to give up
your immortalist mentality or get them to give up their deathist
mentality. You’ll feel the wall in your body. Cf. Red wood trees –
    Indians’ visual apparitions (hallucinations)

Babaji and Spiritual Purification by Leonard Orr

  • Head shaving: a fundamental technique in spiritual
purification in addition to constant repetition of OM NAMAHA SHIVAI
  • Yoga: owner’s manual to the human body
  • Annalee Skarin: “Physical death is a dreary backdoor into
the other world, and there is a freight great front door of glory for
    those who have become.”
  • Hopi Indians
  • Vision quest consists of going into the wilderness by
themselves without food until their spirit guide materializes to them.
  • Anybody who raises their consciousness and their personal
purity to the point where they are ready to conceive of the presence of
Babaji on this planet, become aware of him and go to visit him
  • Immortal body doesn’t look any different than mortal body.
  • Physical death is an involuntary spiritual purification
technique: If I’m not willing to discipline myself, physical universe will
    discipline me.
  • “World is filled with darkness, and the people’s minds are
dominated by darkness, and they run from life.”

7 BIGGIES OF SPIRITUAL PURIFICATION

The repetition of the name of god: OM NAMAHA SHIVAI (the eternal name for
God)

  • If you repeat the name 24 million times, you’ll be the
total master of the physical universe.
  • “I am that I am:” Moses and the burning bush
  • Sitting Shiva: sit on the floor after the death of a loved
    one for a year

Thinking meditation: the affirmations of principle itself

  • Raise the quality of the content your thoughts by watching
your thoughts constantly and replacing each negative one with a positive
    one

Earth, Air, Water & Fire

Water Purification

  • Bathe in the river twice a day (3 AM & 3 PM)
  • Cold water rebirthing
  • Sleep is death, and it’s important to bathe as soon as you
arise in order to wash the death off your soul
  • It’s more important to clean your energy body than it is
    to clean your physical body

Air Purification

  • Rebirthing
  • Be relaxed all the time
  • Limit yourself to two 20 connected breaths until you have had
    lessons from a qualified teacher
  • Once cleaning process is not as intense, do the connected
breathing rhythm for a few minutes a day

Fire Purification

  • Meditate on a candle
  • Go out into the forest by yourself, building a fire,
sitting with it for 5 to 10 hours
  • Death urge has the power to destroy the physical body,
    human relationships, love, health, happiness
  • Fire purification is the most powerful in terms of wiping
out deathist mentality, the death urge.
  • Write out your negative thoughts on paper, and put them
    into fire.
  • Take the food that you eat, and offer it to the fire

Earth Purification

1.      Walk
around your block once a day; create heaven & earth

2.      Manual
labor is a very healthy thing: True aristocrats of the world are farmers

3.      Receive
a loving massage once a week

4.      Abstinence
and nutrition: Fast at least once a week; learn baby bottle consciousness

Human Relationships

  • Getting your own energy strong enough and rich enough so
that you can give as well as take
  • Christian practice of communion (the Lord’s Supper):
Everybody in the room experience communion on an energy level with
    everybody else in the room
  • Become aware of your energy body enough to experience the quality
of energy exchanges that go on all your relationships

Dream Power by Stuart Wilde

  • You’re infinite energy (higher self) inside a body that’s
come down to the earth plane to understand itself.
  • You’re only the product of all of the things that have
    been told.
  • Your mind isn’t you; it’s the contents that have been
infused into the mind of all the years that you’ve been on the physical
    plane.
  • We’re here in the physical plane to collect experiences.
  • The total you = physical body + conscious mind +
unconscious mind + collective unconscious (universal mind) + divine energy
    inside of you: higher self
  • “I am what I am. I don’t have to apologize. I don’t have
to defend myself. I don’t have to explain it to anybody if I don’t want
to. I’m a child of the Universe and although I’m not necessarily perfect,
I’m the sum total of all of my experiences, and you’ll have to accept me
    as I am.”
  • Transcendence: Ego printout ® the person that is into inner self, what they are
  • Speed of the brain: the oscillation of the neurons of the
    brain
  • Stage I:            RAM
    (25%)
Stage II – III: Healing (synthesis of protein + hormones fired into the
    body)

Sleepwalking

Stage IV:         Unconscious
(12%)

What Is A Dream?

  • Lucid dreams: where you’re awake & you know that
    you’re dreaming
  • Warning dreams
  • Prophetic dreams
  • Hypnagogic dreams: symbols / dreamlets come into your mind
while you’re falling asleep (Stage I)
  • Personal dreams
  • Collective dreams: revelation of God to the dreamer
  • Artemidorus, “Art of Judging Dreams”
  • Preformed interpretations are seldom very accurate.
  • Freud: 2 functions of dreams
    • Our way of expressing forbidden wishes
    • Inner-self conceals for the personality the true meaning
of dreams that quite often dream symbols are reversed because the
personality cannot face the truth. Cf. homosexual young man
  • Dream symbols are personal to the dreamer. Cf. black cat
  • Three levels of consciousness: waking state (conscious
living) + the subconscious + collective unconscious (universal mind)
  • Jung: When we get into collective unconsciousness, we can
have dreams that changes our lives
  • When you can align yourself with your higher self within
you either through dream interpretation or self-realization, you get into
    control of your own thoughts.
  • Archetypes: Symbolic forms (motive) underneath the
threshold of subconscious mind. Cf. Unicorn (phallic), water (emotion)
  • Within this inner mind, deep within, lay absolute
    knowledge (higher self)
  • Backwards dreaming: Release psychic energy from your mind
& clears you from the necessity of having to dream as much as you
    would normally.
  • Affirmation / prayer to give you the answer to a certain
question: “I call upon my higher self in this night to instruct me in the
various aspects of my relationship with ______,” and hold it into your
mind as you drift into sleep.
  • As soon as you’re awake in the morning, lie still, and run
through your feelings, & see what’s there that’s in there that is
    appropriate to the question
  • Your destiny is created by your inner most thoughts &
    feelings.
  • Possibility patterns: Most prophetic dreams don’t come
true because they are just possibility patterns.
  • If you keep your eyes open & stay in theta, you’ll be
able to see the electromagnetic field around people as they walk around
the street, and bit by bit, you’ll learn what it actually means.
  • When you understand that, all of your destiny like it’s
carried with you as you walk around, you walk out in the physical plane
with this destiny around you, then you pull to you circumstances that are
    congruent with energy pattern.
  • “I can control my life.” I can become so powerful that I
can create a dimension of consciousness around me that is absolutely
original to me, and has, within it, all the good things…safety,
positivity, love, heath, so my life can become a transcendent example of
what it is I actually feel.
  • Eyes moving quickly: just a part of natural eye movement
  • Hypnagogic state: little images received as falling asleep
  • Lie in bed with your arm propped up from the elbow, so
your forearm is right angles to your body. As your forearm falls down, it
wakes you up. Non-recallers usually have more tight-type of lifestyle. Cf.
Friedrich August Kekulé von Stradonitz’ benzene
  • Main function of remembering your dreams is your demand of
your mind to remember it: “I want to experience this information.” “I
    remember my dreams.”
  • Write down one or two words. Later on, complete as much of
the dream as you can remember. Write down all of the symbols and all of
the things that actually happened. Jot down the contents of your dream, do
    so in a present tense.
  • The worst time to try to analyze dream is once you’ve just
waken up. Leave the dream for the moment, and come back to it especially
after your body has become tired.
  • In alpha state, it’s easy to understand the symbology of
    your dreams.
  • Dr. Frederick S. Perls’ (father of gestalt therapy) system
without the two chairs: Go into the alpha state & begin to move
through your dream in the first person & in the present tense.
  • Prompting dream
  • Warning dream
  • Clairvoyant dream
  • Nightmare:
You get nightmares at night if you eat cheese or protein late. If you have
large amounts of protein late at night, it will affect the amount of
nightmare that you experience. At dinner at night, eat salads, soups &
light things & only to keep protein during the day.
  • Sexual dreams
  • Lucid dreams: You can learn to conduct the dream according
to which way you want to go
  • Dream recall: “I want to be awake in my dreams. Begin, as
you go through daily life, asking yourself: “Am I dreaming?” Sooner or
later, the mind will answer you back: “Yes, we are dreaming:” Tape of your
own voice; “Am I dreaming?” for half an hour. Play it at night while you
    go to sleep.
  • Lucid dream: Begin to train your mind to go to very, low
levels of brain state & stay awake. Become accustomed to using alpha
    metronome, and then, theta metronome.
  • Once you realize you’re in a lucid dream, begin to
experiment with creating the affirmation that you can change the dream or
    begin to direct the dream.
  • The more you demand answers for what you’re looking at in
the waking state, the more answers are there in the dream state.

OBE

  • Key is theta
  • All of that anguish, confusion, and weakness is a part of
our coming to an absolute strength or absolute path inside our life.
  • Alpha metronome: Anytime you want to interpret your dream,
play it, & run through the symbology of your dream in the gestalt way.

The Science of Personal Aliveness by Leonard Orr

  • Why if the blood of Jesus Christ saves people from sin
& death, how come they didn’t live forever?
  • “How to Live Forever” by Harry Gaze
  • When your loved ones died, the death urge starts to
tighten its grip around your soul.

3 Aspects of the Science of Personal Aliveness & Physical Immortality

  1. Philosophy of physical immortality: idea of your natural
    divinity
  2. Psychology of physical immortality: unraveling your
personal death urge inherited from your family tradition
  3. Physiology of physical immortality
  • With the use of affirmations, unravel the power of death
urge in your mind & body
  • Water washes emotional pollution out of your aura
  • Fire works on different aspects of energy pollution
  • Water and fire are polar opposites, and they clean various
aspects of the physical & energy body, organism.
  • Fire purification: using fire place or wood-burning stove
    consciously doubles life spans
  • Eternal Sadhna: Basic practices of spiritual purification:
earth, water, fire, love & mind
  • Food mastery (fasting & diet): earth category
  • Balance about exercise: Hatha yoga
  • Mantra yoga:
    • OM NAMAHA SHIVAI
    • 50,000 thoughts a day: you’ve only begun to master the
mantra when you can remember them at least half the time: we can make a
thought strong through repetition, conscious reasoning & practice
that is putting our life force into a particular thought

8 Biggies of Spiritual Purification

             I.      Mind (mantra yoga)

          II.      Earth

       III.      Air

       IV.      Water

          V.      Fire

       VI.      Loving
relationships

    VII.      Guru
principle: The physical universe is dependant upon habit; whether we have the
right habits: habits of aliveness & discipline of pleasure

VIII.      Principle of grace: our love for God makes God’s love for us: every time
falling in love with God, our devotion of life is enriched.

  • “Secrets of Youthing:” 5 year battle with senility &
    aging
  • Senility: Final exam of human condition, pass or pass
away: a natural form of physical therapy
  • It’s easier for women to become immortal than men, but
because they don’t understand why it’s easier, they don’t.
  • Thirumandiram (1 or 3 Vol) – by Shri Siddhar Thirumoolar
    –  A Classic of Yoga & Tantra
  • All efforts no matter how far back, contribute to the
progression of soul & bring about eventual fruit: if we don’t make it,
it’ll be easier next time: it’s worth the struggle even if we don’t
    succeed.
  • The more organs you get removed, the less desirable
    physical immortality becomes.

How I Purify With Fire

  • Develop the habit of sleeping by the fire
5 feet from the fire, you’ll get value
Build the fire on the ground once a week, your aura turns through the
    flame
Or, use at least 4 ~ 5, up to 8 candles, & sleep with that
  • “I love fear. Fear is our servant. Fear is the effort of
clinging to a negative thought. Most fear, cycle and lyrical, is a direct
route to healing. It is our personal connection to infinite intelligent in
alerting us to real present danger. Fear is always wonderful stuff. We
should welcome the emotion of fear, and examine what it’s about.” “Fear
    is  fun in disguise.”

Intuition by Stuart Wilde

INTUITION

by Stuart Wilde

An animal knows when there is a
danger. We’ve moved into the heightened state of intellectuality, which has to
reason through facts. It limits the ability to pick up the information that is
not logical.

Cave paintings: the 1st intellectual activity, which acted as an affirmation for the dwellers.

Each one has this 6th sense inside of ourselves. Cf. when the phone rings, you somehow know who is on
the other end of the line. /relationship that you have with your body

Feeling of knowing when the danger
approaches – hesitant to go into it.

Cf. his driving experience one day
in London ® the sixth sense

Most physical matters are empty.
Energy has a way of giving us information. Developing the sixth sense is no
more than becoming aware of the subtle information. We’ve moved so far from the
creative, intuitive into the intellectual.

An average human being is
bombarded by stimulus. Our minds have a hard time differentiating the
importance of information. Some of the peripheral information coming in are
hidden and lost in the mind.

All energy patterns have a
thumbprint or feeling to them. Use that information to enhance your life. You
don’t need a lot of superfluous information coming into your mind. You just
need a 6th sense about those events in your life so that you can
alter your behavior or your action plan with this expanded sense of knowing or
this expanded perception. Cf. Bi-cameral mind of ancient Greeks; two halves of
brain were joined together.

The sixth is not psychic
perception, which is a faculty of mind. Thoughts and feelings are laid around
someone, and psychics pick up that thought form. It passes through the
intellect and changes around somewhat. Ex. “I think you’re going to go on a
long journey.” Psychic perception has ways of being wrong a lot of times as
well.

The Collective Unconscious
(Collective Energy):
You are connected through own power inside your mind.
Have to begin to communicate with all of the energy that there is.

Cf. How the building feels.

As you move into the intellect,
the feeling capacity dies away. Cf. danger in the street

Cf. Astrological symbols act as a
trigger in the mind of the astrologer.

Intimately involved in feelings …
higher self … through the higher self, we can come gradually to a state of
all-knowing.

Be in touch with who you really
are, your feelings: Look at yourself: who you are, what your motivations, and
what you feel.  Intellectual is also ego and personality; left brain ® right brain; ego¯+higher self

To have this 6th sense
come through, you develop the 5 senses first; sight, sound, touch, taste and
smell. You develop them by concentrating on them.

The way to improve eyesight. We
just automatically look at things. Get in touch with how much do you
see.

Exercise) Walk along a city
street with a friend. Look down. Your friend asks you to look up from time to
time. Scan to the left and scan to the right. Then, look down again. Have your
friend to ask you what was in that scene.

Most of the information that we
miss our brains don’t pick up even though our eyes see. “I’m interested in the
subtle information. I’m interested in those things that I used to think are not
important.”

Exercise) Find a couple and
walk in front of them. Cut out the rest of the information around and listen to
their conversation. Increase the pace so move further away from them. Still
hear and understand them. ® Tell your
mind that you want to increase it, and that you want to concentrate on the
sound.

Taste: cf. don’t bother
with that information. Tell your mind to be aware of what you’re eating;
texture, taste, heat, coldness. ® Taste
buds expand.

Smell: Put yourself farther
away from the smell and still smell it. Cf. perfume bottle.

Touch: Be aware of the
clothes that you’re wearing. Walking down the street, feel the clothes moving
down on your back; fabric, softness, harshness ® Heighten the sense of touch.

Exercise) Combine all of
them all at once walking down the street. Recreate the senses through your
imagination, so experience the feeling as well as the facts. Cf. a lamb
frolicking in a field. Have an image of what the total inner hidden energy of a
lamb is.

Every aspect of life has a
feeling. Become sensitive to the way things feel. The intuitive faculty begins
to call upon you more often. Affirm yourself 1) you want that information 2)
the information is important to you. Cf. muscles

Everything in the world has energy
in it. Things that are alive have more life force energy in it.

Searching for the feeling of a
friend in looking for a friend. Cf. his experience in Jean business. It doesn’t
work if you engage your intellect in making decisions.

Keep the intellect out of the way.
Often truth is not logical. Often the truth is opposite of what you think the
answer is going to be. Cf. airplane crash, not impose your intellectuality

Increase your peripheral perception.

Peripheral perception is the
energy perceived on the side of your eyes. The eye = cones (center) + rods
(side). Rods are more sensitive to light than the cones. Brain cuts off most of
the peripheral information as being unimportant.

Cf. 40 horse power moving up
through the trunk

Exercise 1) the reason we
don’t see the life force in a tree is that we engage the cones in seeing.
Engage the rods to see the life force leaving the tree. Loot at the top of the
tree 12 o’clock position. Move your eyes over to the right slightly, staring at
the sky 1 o’clock. Move your concentration back to the 12 o’clock position, but
don’t move your eyes. You begin to receive the light leaving the tree at an angle.
You’ll see the life force exuding from it like flashing tongues of energy

Exercise 2) Look at the
space between the leaves. Begin to train yourself to begin to see the secondary
reality: a form of energy.

Human body is not used to sitting
still. Sit stark still. See people coming toward you. Do not engage the mind to
have an opinion or a judgement about them. Do not limit the amount of energy
that you perceive. Observe the people coming past you. No words! Ex. “That’s an
old person. “ ® Pick up the feeling of
people; energy exuding from people. Information comes to you in an uncluttered
way. Life force is visible. See the life force around human being. Cf. 12
o’clock/1 o’clock technique

Etheric web: there are spinning
vortexes of energy – Chakras. In heart Chakra in the area of heart, you
experience feeling and receive information in the sense of all knowing.

Exercise) Begin to sense
what people feel like. Sense who they are without judging what they are. You
project from your feeling, from your high Chakra to their feelings. Touch them
in the center of their heart with your mind. People feel different. ex. Biker,
nun, small boy, businessperson. Develop types of feelings. Ascertain within
your own feelings what the other person’s feeling; confident, fear, strong,
sexuality, directness, discipline. ® Develop sensitivity.

Cf. a deal offered. See and watch
how they react to my suggestion. Watch their feeling, and alter your
suggestions to their feelings. “Is the person honest enough to follow through
in the deal they are offering?”

Hang out in the nature. You’re pulling yourself out of the feelings and the senses of civilization, and
entering into the area of pure life force without opinion. Do not clutter the
perception with an opinion. You can purify your emotion.

Exercise) Find a large tree. Lean up against it,
and put your hand behind your back. Imaging all the life force going through
the tree, and pull it down through your body. Allow the life force of the tree
to wash the life force that you have as a human while visualizing energy come
through the tree and down through your body.
® It makes you
more like nature. Begin to enter into the altered state of consciousness that
comes from the relaxation.

In order to pick up the 6th sense, have the mind centered or relaxed. Cf. Einstein’s shaving. Enter into a
state of relaxation. The intuition gives you information.

Meditative techniques to quieten
the chatter of mind. Establish discipline over your mind. Enter into the state
where you’re a neutral person.

Go beyond the judgement. The mind
has a set of information collected through your experience in life. Total
experience = every bit of information + what the mind feels about the
experience. As information comes to you, the mind cuts out a large chunk of
information. Without judgement, you disengage the mind from having an opinion.
Cf. criticism, opinion. The least opinions that you can have, the more open you
are to energy. It allows the mind to be quietened as you pull out of judgement.

Walk
through the forest in the early morning. A) DO NOT judge anything that you see.
B) Open your feelings to receive as much energy as possible.

To become a sensitive individual,
you have to remember your dreams. A) Put up a little meditation before go to
bed, saying, “I want to remember my dreams tonight.” Put beside the bed the
dream book. B) Set your alarm clock for the middle of the night. As soon as you
wake up, whatever dream is in your memory, write down in detail before it slips
away.

Come back to alpha brain state. Go
through the dream. Allow the symbols to become a part of you. Ex. “You are
walking along a bridge with a fishing rod. Up ahead of you is a bridge.” Put
yourself into each of the symbols “I’m walking down the road in my dream and I
have this fishing rod over my shoulder.” This fishing rod symbolizes to me …
Begin to explain what it symbolizes to you. The mind will click forward what a
fishing rod means to you. Cf. archetypal symbol. Go all the way as a fishing
rod, as you go through dreams, “I am the road that I’m walking on.” I symbolize
and the road would tell you what it means. Then, you move on to the bridge. Ask
your mind what those symbols mean.

The inner mind exaggerates the
symbols in order for that to impact your consciousness.

As you learn to recall your
dreams, you tell your mind that you’re interested in seeing symbols, what
things mean. Ex. Freud’s scarecrow (?) beetle; synchronic link between what you
feel, think and what you see.

The next step is you pick up what
the symbols mean in the life around you. Ex. an orange peel dropped onto your
lap from a one-legged tramp. Seeing life as a symbol. You go into that
symbol. “What does this mean to you?”

You have to have discipline to
control your entire life pattern. Reality passes through this cloud of feeling
around you: Jaggedness of emotion has a way of reflecting in reality.
Jaggedness of emotion has a way of having things around you begin to go wrong.
Ex. Things go broke. Have to have control over
emotion and mentality.
Cf. two people talking to you at once. Once the
mind is quietened, you can pick up the information and develop the 6th sense.

Fear

Develop
discipline to meditate and prayer.

Meditation: come in touch
with yourself

Exercise) Visualize light
streaming through the Chakras of the body. Top of the head-crown Chakra, center
forehead –the 3rd eye, the throat chakra and heart Chakra. Visualize
this light flow through you. As it begins to flow through you, direct it to all
parts of your body to enlighten and enliven the atoms and the molecules of your
body. See yourself becoming this light being. “I am pure light force.” “I am
pure consciousness.” “That consciousness is all around me, so that
connected-ness that I have within myself being centered, being in the higher
self is the connected-ness that I automatically experience with all things.” How
big, magnanimous, non-judgmental, loving can you become? It allows you the
ability to understand yourself, not judge yourself. Grant yourself the patience and the time to improve gradually at your
own pace.

Open to receive more. Opening
process makes you feel somewhat vulnerable because you have to let go of a
little bit of personality: key to develop the 6th sensitivity.
Develop the sensitivity.

If you use a heightened sense of
perception in manipulating others, it has a way of closing you down and making
you even more negative.
